A Los Angeles County firefighter was hospitalized after crews responded to a large commercial building fire in Artesia.
The fire broke out at a vacant one-story structure located along Pioneer Boulevard, prompting a major response from the Los Angeles County Fire Department. More than 60 firefighters were dispatched to battle the flames as the fire quickly spread through the building.
Authorities reported that the blaze caused significant damage to the structure and required an extended firefighting operation to bring the flames under control.
During the response, one firefighter was transported to the hospital after experiencing a medical emergency while crews were battling the fire. Officials said the firefighterβs condition was not immediately known at the time of the incident.
Firefighters worked for an extended period to fully extinguish the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings.
Officials have not yet confirmed the cause of the fire, and investigators are continuing to examine the scene to determine how the blaze started.
